Artists in Exile are currently in the Glasgow Art Fair at stand 45.

Exhibiton at Tron Theatre

To celebrate Refugee Week, Artists in Exile will be opening an exhibiton for 2weeks at the Tron Theatre.

Poetry/Film/Music project

Over the last year Aritst in Exile has been working with a selection of the poets in the group.

We have been recording the poets reading and have asked a variety of muscians, some based in Scotland and others in different parts of the world, to put music behind the words.

We have then sent out the CD's to filmakers based in Zimbabwe, Palestine, Kazakhstan, France, USA, UK and Sri Lanka and they have made short films incoporacting the poems and music into their film.

We are nearing the end of this project and are just completeing final mixes and getting the art work done.

We will be releasing a DVD and publishing a small book of the work in December.

REFUGEE WEEK

Artists in Exile will be hosting a cabaret night on

SATURDAY 20th June 2009 at 8pm in the Tron Theatre Bar

There will be food and music

The event is free and open to everybody.
